Methodology

TheBrandScore is built on established academic models for measuring brand equity, adapted for the realities of small and medium businesses. It also draws on the long-term work of VBrand with entrepreneurs.

Weighted scoring system

Not all indicators carry equal weight. Core elements score more points - they are fundamental to every brand. Important ones carry medium weight. Standard ones add additional value.

Dependency logic

The tool includes dependencies between indicators. You cannot have "logo variations" without a "primary logo". This reflects the real build order and prevents artificially inflating your score.
